La Manga Club is located in the The Costa Calida – meaning the ‘warm coast’ – an area which enjoys in excess of 300 days a year of sunshine and blue skies. Visible from La Manga Club and just a short drive away is the Mar Menor (little sea), which is the largest salt water lagoon in Europe.

A Lava drip from millions of years ago has formed 14 miles of holiday facilities known as La Manga Strip, separating the Mediterranean from the Mar Menor – with beautiful, sandy beaches on either side. You will find an extensive range of Water sports on offer in this area including sailing, wind surfing, jet & water skiing, scuba diving and snorkelling.

An abundance of restaurants are visible along the Strip catering for all varieties of culinary preferences. Tomas Maestre harbour – at Kilometer 11 – houses a wonderful array of motor and sailing vessels and is a delight to visit.

The Mar Menor coastline with its shallow waters and long sandy beaches, covers an area of almost 80 square kilometres, with a variety of typically Spanish seaside villages such as San Pedro del Pinatar, Santiago de la Ribera, Los Narejos, Los Alcazares, Los Nietos and Mar de Cristal which have their own individual character. There are various natural mud bath centres along the Mar Menor – especially beneficial for people with arthritis or rheumatic problems.

Further south along the coastline is the delightful promontory of Cabo de Palos, a delightful fishing village with a small harbour and an abundance of wonderful fish restaurants. This headland leads onto La Manga Strip.
